Spiritual Direction
A quiet space to notice and respond to God’s presence in your life.
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction offers a quiet, intentional space to notice and respond to God’s presence in your real, everyday life.
It is not counseling or coaching. Instead, it is a prayerful conversation—listening together for the voice and movement of the Holy Spirit.
At its core, it is about relationship: growing in attentiveness to God, who is already at work in you.
What is a Spiritual Director?
A spiritual director is a companion and listener—someone who comes alongside you as you seek to recognize and respond to God.
Rather than giving advice or fixing problems, a director helps you slow down, pay attention, and discern how God may be speaking through your experiences, desires, and questions.
At its heart, Spiritual Direction is a space for learning to listen.
A Distinctly Christian Practice
Spiritual direction is practiced across many traditions, but my work is rooted in historic Christian faith.
It is shaped by Scripture, centered on Jesus Christ, and attentive to the work of the Holy Spirit.
This is not about vague spirituality, but about growing in a real, personal relationship with God and responding to His presence in your life.
“God, the one and only—I’ll wait as long as he says. Everything I need comes from him, so why not? He’s solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul…”
Psalm 62:1-2a, MSG
What Do We Talk About?
Quite simply: your real life.
Anything you are carrying can be brought into this space—questions, doubts, joys, struggles, relationships, decisions, or longings.
We trust that God is present in all of it.
Together, we prayerfully explore where God may be inviting you, comforting you, challenging you, or drawing you closer to Himself.
What to Expect
-
Spiritual direction sessions are about 50–60 minutes and are typically held once a month, though the rhythm can be flexible depending on your season.
Each time is framed by prayer and unhurried listening.
We’ll begin with an initial conversation to discern whether this feels like a good fit for both of us.
Sessions can take place in person or online, in a setting that allows for quiet and privacy.
-
The cost of sessions can be discussed during our initial conversation.
If finances are a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out—no one will be turned away for financial reasons.
-
I am connected with and shaped by the following communities:
Christ-Centered Spiritual Direction Association (CSDA)
Selah Fellows through Leadership Transformations
Spiritual Formation Society of Arizona (SFSAZ)
I’ve come to trust that even the smallest desire to turn toward God matters.
Often, it begins there—with a quiet longing. A sense that you want something more.
You don’t have to sort it all out before you begin.
If you’re longing for a quieter, more attentive way of being with Him, I’d be glad to listen with you.
You’re welcome to reach out when you’re ready.
